Scobee Education Center

The annual Girls STEM Summit at the Scobee Education Center on will host 75 girls in 6th to 12th grades and introduce them to STEM careers. Volunteers are needed to lead hands on workshops that will enlighten and educate the girls in STEM careers. Speakers are also needed to share their stories of the unique challenges and successes experienced by women in STEM fields. We invite you to share your passion with girls in the San Antonio area and ignite their drive to pursue a STEM career. All it takes is one hour of your time to inspire the future.

Description

Scobee Education Center houses the Challenger Learning Center, planetarium and observatory. We offer STEM programming to students of ALL ages. The Challenger Learning Center is a simulator that turns students into scientists, astronauts and engineers as they conduct missions in space. The planetarium offers a large catalog of shows for all ages and numerous STEM topics. The observatory holds a 10 ft refracting telescope to discover and study celestial objects.
