ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - New Hampshire and Vermont Region

PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Provide mental health assistance to disaster clients and staff and act as a referral resource

OPEN TIME DAYS

Typically occurs during large disaster events. Shifts are generally 12 hours in shelters at the onset of disaster and may be daytime or overnight. Some outreach during daytime shifts may also occur. However, under certain conditions, 4 hour shifts will be acceptable.

Psychological First Aid
Fundamentals of Disaster Mental Health\
