PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Provides support, management, and direction to the Volunteer Placement, Retention, Training, and Exercise teams. Ensures that these teams have clear goals and direction to build capacity for both recurrent and non-recurrent responses in the county, inclusive of workforce capacity, partner relationships, and material resources. Ensures that the Workforce Development activities coordinate appropriately with other county and regional activities. Responsible for ensuring the engagement and development of all volunteers in the Workforce Development activities and succession planning for all positions. If any Coordinator positions are unfilled, the Workforce Development Administrator assumes the responsibility of working directly with Team Members in those activities to ensure that they are supported and engaged. The Workforce Development Administrator is a member of the County Management Team and reports to the Disaster Program Manager.
