The Plainfield Area Humane Society (PAHS) is looking for volunteers to join our organization. Our mission is to find a safe, loving and appropriate home for every homeless pet, including those with special needs or challenges. We strive to treat, heal and provide optimal well-being for the animals placed in our care; and to create an environment where our animals receive love, respect and attention.
Each year, we care for more than 500 animals in the local community. The volunteers are overseeing the operations, adoptions, care of animals and property of PAHS. Our animals require daily care and need dedicated animal lovers.
4 Shifts
- morning / 09:00 AM to 11:45 AM
- afternoon / 12:00 PM to 03:00 PM
- afternoon / 03:00 PM to 04:45 PM
- evening / 05:00 PM to 06:00 PM

Description
The Plainfield Area Humane Society is a private 501(c)3 non-profit organization, governed by a Board of Trustees. We have been in continuous operation since 1933.
In addition to caring for and rehabilitating stray, abandoned and unwanted animals, PAHS provides programs on pet care and responsible ownership for scout, school, church, business and library groups by appointment and at no charge.
These programs cover the social, health and humane aspects of living with domestic
and wild animals in our urban and suburban communities.
