Vetscape, a veteran non-profit, seeks a Director of Development to manage and implement the organization's annual fundraising activities and events, corporate and foundation research, proposal writing, donor cultivation, solicitation, and tracking. Responsibilities also include the identification of new individual, corporate, and foundation sources of organizational support. Qualified candidates shall possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of development experience. This position offers an opportunity for a seasoned professional to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, action-packed environment.
Contingent upon funding, this position looks to be fully-funded as a full-time position in the near future.

Vetscape empowers veterans to find their next mission in life. This mission is facilitaed through outdoor sports with Team Vetscape athetes, while Vetscape's media house documents and publishes these athlete's incredible stories.
Description
Team Vetscape is an extreme sports and outdoor adventure-based community that brings veterans and civilians together on mission-focused teams. These teams provide the structure, training, support, and camaraderie needed for veterans struggling to cope with life after the military. Veterans develop new skills, new purpose, and new teammates for life. Team Vetscape:
- Facilitates extreme sporting and outdoor recreation events that provide therapeutic alternatives to destructive high-risk activities (eg. drugs, alcohol, violence)
- Recruits and trains veteran athletes for the challenges
- Establishes a social and support community for Team Vetscape veterans facing mental/emotional difficulties
- Produces videos, photos, and articles featuring veteran athletes overcoming extreme physical challenges
- Documents veterans' personal stories and positive transformations to inspire other veterans facing similar struggles
- Promotes Team Vetscape athletes through social media channels and blogs
