In the United States, LGBT people are about two times more likely than straight people to take up smoking. The American Heart Association | American Stroke Association is hosting our first booth at the 2017 Phoenix Pride and we need additional volunteer ambassadors.
Volunteer ambassadors will be staffing our booth to provide information on how to lead a heart-healthy lifestlye and reduce the risk of heart disease by eating a balanced diet, exercising on a regular basis and most importantly staying away from tobacco use.
During the two-day festival we need folks to cover the following time periods:
Saturday 12pm - 3pm
Saturday 2:30pm - 6pm
Sunday 12pm - 3pm
Sunday 2:30pm - 6pm

- Volunteers will receive COMPLIMENTARY admission to the Pride Festival
- Volunteers will be close enough to break away and enjoy the main stage, dance pavilion, community stage and the bistro stage, featuring big names and local entertainers.
- Volunteers will receive a FREE AHA T-shirt

Volunteers are the heart of the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association. As a national voluntary health organization whose mission is to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke we achive our mission through the assistance of volunteers who assist our community programs and who fundraise for cardiovascular education research and advocacy.
Whether you have one day or one year to give, we are thrilled you would consider volunteering with us.
