Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator
Job Location: Organization is based in the greater Pittsburgh area.
Job Summary: The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for securing and coordinating with volunteers who "work" with Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal. The position works with the management team and obtains volunteers for programs as needed or requested for programs, transports or events.
Schedule: Average 8-10 hours per week
Essential Duties:
Recruit, interview and screen individuals who volunteer for Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal.
Maintain job descriptions and other forms as needed for volunteers.
Coordinate with Event Coordinator to fill volunteer needs for events.
Grow number of volunteers (now less than 50) to allow Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal to meet their objectives of saving the lives of 'Super’ senior dogs.
Knowledge and Skills:
Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proven dependable & cooperative.
Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Computer knowledge, basic computing skills (Microsoft Office or Google Drive/Services).
Use of own computer and mobile phone, texting, messaging and mobile app usage required.
Work Environment: Work from home via the internet using own personal computer.
