The Alamitos Beach Cleanup is a fun way to support the local environment! Held every fourth Sunday of the month (Next date: March 26, 2017 from 10 AM - 11 AM) at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach (on Beach Access Rd, off Shoreline Drive between Ocean Blvd & Linden Ave).

Our partnership with Adopt-A-Beach allows us to provide bags, gloves, and parking permits (for the duration of the clean up) to volunteers!

Individuals and groups of any size are welcome to join in! If you're bringing a group, please give us a heads up with a rough head-count so we can be sure to have enough supplies on hand. Otherwise, just come as you are and join in on the fun!

How do I sign Up?

No need to sign up in advance, just come on down to the beach and sign in when you arrive.

What do I wear and/or bring?

You’ll be walking on the beach in some potentially warm weather so light clothing with layers is always a good option. Don't forget sunscreen!
We’ll provide gloves and bags for the clean up (through our partnership with Adopt-A-Beach) so you don’t need to bring any supplies.

Can I bring my group?

Yes, please! If possible, please email Vanessa at alamitosbeachcleanup@gmail.com a week before the cleanup with a rough head count so we can be sure to have enough supplies on hand for your group.

How do I find you?

Alamitos Beach is located in Long Beach, CA. Our cleanup location is off of Shoreline Drive, between Linden Ave and Ocean Blvd. Turn onto Beach Access Road from Shoreline Drive, which leads to the parking lot.

Look for our shade tent along the bike path, next to the Alamitos Beach parking lot. Alfredo's beach club and restrooms are nearby.

Where can I park?

Parking permits are available for our volunteers during the cleanup, only at the Alamitos Beach parking lot (not valid at Marina Green Lot). Pick up a permit as soon as you arrive or you may get ticketed. Please see directions to lot above.

Do you provide Volunteer Credit?

Absolutely! We’ll have signed volunteer credit slips available for you after you’ve participated in the clean up.
