We are in need of adult volunteers to assist campers and facilitators during each of the 6 summer camps starting June 12th through July 27th. It is a time commitment of Mon-Thurs from 8am-1pm. Camps wil be teaching kids about agriculture relating to food sources, food waste, livestock, gardening, compost, pollination, etc; through two different camps: Farm Life and Animal Life. The camps will be during the following weeks: June 12th-15th, June 26th-29th, July 17th-20th, June 19th-22nd, July 10th-13th, and July 24th-27th. We are asking for 4 adults/camp week. There will also be a volunteer and staff training at the end of May. A background check must be completed prior to the training, please log on to: https//form.jotform.com/52284991343158. We are cultivating healthy children today so they will harvest a healthy society tomorrow.
Our purpose at Galloping Grace Youth Ranch is to bring pure joy to children. We believe that children experience Pure Joy from having fun while learning, interacting, leading, and serving. No matter what changes may occur in our programs, this central purpose will always run through the heart of our mission and will be the driving force and litmus test for everything we do.
Our organization will offer and promote programs in which children are involved in raising animals, growing crops, exploring the outdoors, and enhancing the community. GGYR will function as a working, sustainable farm/ranch, where children are empowered to lead, teach, work, and play alongside others. It is our firm belief that children learn best if they enjoy what they are doing. Because of this, we will strive to infuse joy into all of our activities.
