The After Class Enrichment Program is looking for community volunteers to help us facilitate our upcoming Track & Field athletic events! The ACE program is a free before and after school program that offers access to recreational and education programming for middle school students in the Napa County area.

Volunteer position include:

Starting line (4-6): This will involve helping officials begin each race. Volunteers will assist in lining up athletes for the beginning of the race and getting the next group ready to go.

Shot-Put (1-2): This will require helping officials with the shot-put competition.

High Jump (1-2): This will require assisting officials with the high jump competition.

Athlete check-in and award area (3-4): This location will be where athletes are given stickers to track their times for the race. This will involve writing names, times, and awarding winners with ribbons.

Refreshment sales (1-2): Volunteer sells cold fruit cups, and cold water.

Front entrance admission table (1-2): This will require ability to handle money and make change, greet attendees in a friendly and welcoming manner, answer questions, and provide general information about the event.

Set-up/Clean-up (4-6): This will require assisting ACE and school staff in setting up and taking down athletic equipment for the event, and field clean up following event. This position will require some lifting in high temperatures. Physical ability to perform in high temperatures is a requirement of this position.

Starting unit operator (1): This position requires assisting officials in sounding off for each race using a starter unit. This position may require some training prior to events. Volunteer must be an adult.
