AmeriCorps Project YES! invites you to volunteer or participate at our 8th Annual Ultimate Field Day, "Choose Your Own Adventure" in celebration of Global Youth Service Day!
Volunteers can join us on Saturday, April 22nd at Pulaski Park (1419 W. Blackhawk St. Chicago, IL 60622) from 10:00am-3:00pm to facilitate pre-k through 8th grade youth in games, activities, and sports including: wilderness skills, quidditch, flying kites, and much more!
Participants can join us at 11:00am-2:00pm (registration is at 10:45am) at Pulaski Park! This year's theme is "Choose Your Own Adventure," in which participants will be able to choose from four paths that include some really fun sports and activities!
The goal of the Ultimate Field Day is to mobilize youth and volunteers in Chicago to promote the importance of health, fitness and community through a day of active fun!

ALL VOLUNTEERS:
* must be 18 or older
* do not need any previous experience or special skills
* will receive complimentary breakfast and lunch
* must wear gym shoes

ALL PARTICIPANTS:
* must be pre-k through 8th grade
* will receive a complementary snack
* must wear gym shoes
* MUST HAVE A PERMISSION SLIP SIGNED BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN

Description
Project YES! is a proud program of the Northwestern Settlement. Project YES! connects caring adults with youth in and around the West Town community through mentorship, educational, service, artistic and recreational activities in order to support their academic achievement, provide them with positive alternatives to destructive behaviors, and foster an ethic of service in the entire community.
