employU is a Nonprofit Employment Service contracted with The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation assisting people with disabilities prepare for, become and retain employment. We are currently seeking assistance to work in our Transition Program which serves high school students in the community.
Transition assistants will have opportunities to help in multiple ways.
We are looking for support to approach worksites and provide marketing material in efforts to find businesses interested in having a student work for them at no cost.
Some volunteers would check in on worksites where students are working to have the supervisors complete a questionaire. These questionaires will help determine the level of job coaching that is required to ensure success.
Other opportunities include assisting the instructors of our job preparation class along with several administrative tasks.
