Partner with a refugee family to help children and parents create community connections, such as attending parent teacher conferences, and being a friendly face to families struggling to integrate into the Lincoln community.
2 hour/week, minimum 6 month commitment required.

Lutheran Family Services: Founded as an orphanage in 1892, Lutheran Family Services is now the largest human care organization in
Nebraska and Western Iowa. Every year, its employees deliver exceptional service to thousands of children,
individuals, and families through 47 programs. A broad spectrum of services ranges from foster care and
children’s behavioral health to helping human trafficking victims and newly resettled refugees.

Family Services - Building stronger families through parent education, child support, and early detection and intervention.
New Americans - Welcoming refugees and immigrants through career, housing, legal, and translation support.
Behavioral Health - Supporting individuals and families through the highs and lows of life.
