Join the Green Kirkland Partnership to help with the restoration of the forest at Crestwoods Park. Volunteers will spend the afternoon participating in restoration activities that may include removing invasive plants like English ivy and Himalayan blackberry, applying mulch, and planting native trees, shrubs and ground covers. No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us! This event will be led by a volunteer Green Kirkland Steward .

Achieving this involves training and supporting volunteers in restoration activities.
Description
The Green Kirkland Partnership is an alliance between the City of Kirkland, nonprofit partners, businesses and the community to restore almost 500 acres of natural parkland in the City. The majority of the restoration efforts are accomplished by our dedicated volunteers. These volunteers may join us just one time or volunteer again and again. It takes everyone to restore our natural areas!
