Love Kittens and kitties?
Can't bring any (more) home?!
Donate one hour a week and make a difference in the life of a shelter cat. Golden Paw Society rescues kitties from Long Island town shelters. Many of the cats rescued have spent years living poor crowded noisy cages. Golden Paw Society offered them a new lease on life. We provide them with quality medical care and rehabilitate those who need extra support- through the support of our volunteers!!
Volunteers help make each of our rescued kitties feel loved and cared.
Help us, help them. In return you'll get tons of kitty love!
We are looking for help at our adoption center at PETCO in Glen Cove Volunteers help with litter box scooping, feeding, fresh water. Giving the kitties love, brushing them, petting them, playing with them, talking to them, often just giving them a lap to lay in. Volunteers are available to speak to potential adopters about the kitties that are available for adoption.
Volunteers should be 18 years or older.

About Golden Paw Society
Location:
260 Broadway, Huntington Station, NY 11746, US
Mission Statement
Golden Paw Society is an exclusively charitable all-volunteer organization (501c3 tax-exempt) dedicated to the rescue of cats who have been in municipal shelters for an extended period of time and/or who exhibit a dire need of removal from the shelter setting. We believe that no matter how old, sick or 'difficult' a cat may be, each cat deserves to be loved, cared for and given a second chance, and we endeavor to provide that second chance to those cats who need us most.
Description
Founded in 2012, we've spent the past ten years rescuing just over 2800 cats so far! All of our cats are rescued from municipal shelters and cared for by us at our Adoption Center in Huntington Station as well as Petsmart in Commack. As a non-profit, all-volunteer organization we rely completely on the kindness of others to be able to continue our rescue mission.
