Help us open up the world of books and play to toddlers! We're looking for a Story Time Assistant at the Downtown Library on Friday mornings from 10-11.
For toddlers and their parents/caregivers, storytime sessions at the local library are an introduction into the magical world of books, a fun way to strengthen literacy skills, and a great shared activity. Volunteer Assistants work with a librarian to welcome children and parents when they arrive. Depending upon applicant's experience, the volunteer may also help the Librarian with the felt board, finger plays, and songs that inspire participants to get up and go! A sense of play is an important prerequisite for this assignment!
This is a popular program and we're looking for just the right individual - someone who enjoys books, values literacy, and can engage with children. Is that you?More opportunities with Santa Cruz Public Libraries - Downtown Library
