If you are outgoing and not afraid to greet strangers, then this is the committee for you! Volunteers on this committee will be stationed at one of three entrances to the golf course (main entrance, 5/6 entrance or the 9th hole entrance) to scan and check tickets of all patrons coming into the tournament. Other duties will include working alongside security personnel, providing directions and checking bags for patrons. Excellent customer service skills are required. This position will work outside all day and volunteers must be prepared for all weather conditions.
Shifts with the highest demand for volunteers are the following:
- Monday June 19th from 6:30am-12:15pm & 11:45am-6:30pm
- Tuesday June 20th from 6:30am-12:15pm & 11:45am-6:30pm
- Wednesday June 21st from 5:30am-12:15pm & 11:45am-7pm
- Thursday June 22nd from 5:30am-12:15pm & 11:45am-7pm
- Friday June 23rd from 5:30am-12:15pm & 11:45am-7pm
- Saturday June 24th from 6:30am-12:15pm & 11:45am-7pm
- Sunday June 25th from 6:30am-12:15pm & 11:45am-7pm

Every year, thousands of people donate their time and effort to volunteer for the Travelers Championship. Last year alone, Travelers Championship volunteers provided a total of more than 80,000 hours of their time to help give back to the community. Volunteering at the tournament not only allows you to go behind the scenes at Connecticut’s largest sporting event, but also allows you to have a direct impact on the amount of charity dollars the tournament pours back into the community each year.
