Thanks for reading our Post! We are SUPER EXCITED about our Earth Day Musical, "Native Spirit: the soul of Pocahontas" which will benefit the 350 Animals at the Planet Rehab Animal Sanctuary and take place at the sanctuary in San Dimas on Sat. Apr 22.

The musical is the story of Esperanza, a direct descendant of Pocahontas, who has turned her back against her family and native traditions and has become the youngest CEO in the Banking World (the lending insittution of whch she is the CEO, is also financing the Dakota Pipeline, that her family and tribe are fighting against). She begins to experience strange dreams, which not only remind her of her childhood, but that also paint the picture of her long departed relative, Pocahontas and give her the courage to stand for something more important than personal gain.

In addition to actors/singers/behind the scenes, we need help Orchestrating & recording the background music.

We have openings for actors/singers as well as set designers, assistant directors, publicity, etc. Lead characters available:

Esperanza - late teens or early 20's - Native American/Hispanic appearance. Strong singing voice. Dynamic.

Young Esperanza - 7-12 - Native American/Hispanic appearance. Strong singing voice.

Ashley - late teens/early 20's - Cheerleader - Blond, bubbly, energetic. Strong singing voice.

Aiyanna - 40's - 70's - Native American/Hispanic appearance. Matriarch of the tribe. Strong character/ Strong singing voice.

Chip Baxter - early 20's - Race Open - Ambitious, Agressive with dreams to become world reknowned TV Journalist. Strong singing voice.

Jameson Bartlett the Third - 20's - 50's Race Open CEO. Agressive, Dynamic. Strong singing voice.

Doctor Johnson - 30's - 70's - Therapist. Race Open. Compassionate but Dynamic. Strong singing voice.

Ensemble: Tribe Members, Office Workers, School Children, Cheerleaders - all races/ages.

Auditions are begining Sat. Mar 18/19 and will continue until all roles are cast. Please email me at GaryM@Planetrehab.org with your info (role you are auditioning for, experience, etc) and please include your phone number, as well as your audiiton availability.

We will also need a tremendous amount of help mounting the production: Construction, Set Designers, Publicity, Event Coordination, etc. We would LOVE to have you join us!
