Early Earth Day Celebration!
The Spring Native Plant sale is Friday April 14 from 4:30 to 6:30 and Saturday April 15 from 8:30 to 12:30. We are looking for a dozen volunteers each day to assist with parking, loading and unloading plants and assisting with registration and greeting people. Saturday we will also need help in the children’s area.
Volunteers are asked to meet at the paved pavillion at Morningside 30 minutes prior to the sale for instructions.
Volunteers should wear closed toed shoes, and comfortable but appropriate clothing. We recommend a sun hat/visor, work gloves (we have some to borrow), preferred sunscreen/insect repellant and a water bottle.
Snacks, water and other beverages will be provided for both days.

Description
The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department manages over 3,200 acres of parkland with numerous cultural, recreational, and natural areas and facilities. In October of 2013, the Department became one of 119 agencies in the country to be fully accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies
