The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is seeking volunteer WA state licensed Cosmetologist and Barbers to provide complimentary head shaves, transitional cuts, wig trims and styling alternatives to our patients undergoing cancer treatment. In addition, we offer complimentary haircuts to caregivers as well. We constantly receive feedback from patients that as they lose their hair, they are either embarrassed to go to their regular stylist or do not live in the Seattle area and don’t know where to go for assistance.
Persons must be able to make at least a 3 month commitment, be 21 years of age or older, and must be a licensed cosmetologist in the State of Washington.

Orientations are offered quarterly in January, May, July and October. Specific dates are listed on the website and the application - please be sure to note the application deadline.
Pre-registration (application) and attendance at both sessions is required.

Description

For current patients the superior care you have come to expect from us will continue uninterrupted. For example, as part of the transition to Fred Hutch there will be no changes to your doctor or care team. Over the longer term, this update to our structure will enable us to improve patients’ care experiences and increase integration across your care team.
