The Chief Medical Officer is a key member of the Senior Executive team, engaged in defining the overall business strategy and direction of the organization. The position provides medical and search and rescue oversight, expertise and leadership to ensure the delivery of search and rescue services. He or she should have knowledge on how to strategize, develop and implement innovative clinical programs that include collaboration with strategic business partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement the clinical and search and rescue operation direction for the organization.

• Keep abreast of emerging models in health care delivery; identify and define new and innovative strategies to achieve business goals and objectives.

• Identify opportunities to collaborate and develop clinical integration opportunities with other organization to achieve affordable outcomes.

• Active engagement in business development opportunities.

• Provide clinical guidance, support and education to both Search and Rescue Operations and Medical Search and Rescue team.

• Build and leverage cross functional collaborative relationships to achieve shared company goals.

• Develop and implement strategic goals related to the quality improvement, management programs and accreditation standards.

• Participates, in conjunction with the management team, in the overall budget planning and monitoring process; reviews the formulation and evaluation of project goals and budgets.

Requirements

• A current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of CA.

• A minimum of 5 years professional post-residency experience.

• Demonstrated management, organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to assess business needs, design and implement programs and evaluate results.

• Ability to work collaboratively internally and externally.
