With over 11,000 classes a year and many community-wide initiatives there are numerous, fun and engaging volunteer opportunities with our organization. Volunteers are always needed in-house at the Art with a Heart office to help:
- Gather/pack supplies in preparation for classes and community projects
- Create sample art projects and steps for instruction
- Assist in weekly inventory and organization of supply rooms
- Create artful decorations for individuals and community partnership events
- Break, organize and lay tile for large scale mosaics
There are also opportunities to assist in Art with a Heart classes that can work for almost any consistent schedule as well as occasional, one-time community service events in the evenings and on the weekends.

Art with a Heart's mission is to enhance the lives of people in need through visual art.
Description
Since 2000, Art with a Heart has provided Baltimore’s vulnerable children, youth, and adults with access to creative, educational, and positive programming, caring and nurturing adults on a consistent basis, and the chance to embrace new ideas and skills in a safe and structured environment. In an effort to achieve its mission of enhancing the lives of people in need through visual art, Art with a Heart works to harness the benefits of arts education to cultivate positive changes in behavior and general attitudes among its participants. Art with a Heart is steadfast in its commitment to help nurture and grow its students and encourage them to become better communicators, problem solvers, and community members.
