Make a difference in the lives of persons with memory loss by interacting with participants in the home-like setting of the House of Welcome Adult Day Services Program. You will assist with scheduled activities such as crafts, baking, puzzles or games and/or spend one-on-one time with participants. Patient care tasks are not part of this role; these duties are handled by NSSC staff. No previous experience required; you can start by observing and then we’ll provide training. We ask volunteers to commit to a morning or afternoon shift once per week.
Because of the COVID outbreak, we are interviewing volunteer candidates for our volunteer roles by phone or on-line only. Please contact cpadovani@nssc.org and we will get the volunteer enrollment process started so that you will be ready to begin your new role with the North Shore Senior Center once our doors re-open.
