ORGANIZATION: Conflict Resolution Center

The Conflict Resolution Center (CRC) of Frederick is seeking an energetic individual with a strong problem-solving background, professional attitude, and effective written and verbal communication skills. Note: The administrative assistant intern will also be willing to become a trained mediator within a year of hire. Training is provided. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Access. Hours per week: 10-12. Hourly rate: $8.75-$10.00.

Non-profit experience a plus.

Main Responsibilities:

-Work collaboratively with CRC Executive Director in program development, grant reporting, tracking performance measures, and office administration.

-Will be comfortable working with the community-at-large in relation to work, home or neighborhood conflict issues

-Learn and work with program tracking software and database entry, answer daily phone calls, and emails.

-Assist with website management, community outreach via social media platforms.

-Seek out new opportunities for program development and new partnerships.

Conflict Resolution Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit community service organization, which provides affordable and accessible conflict resolution services to all Frederick County residents through education, mediation, community conferencing, and facilitation. Conflict Resolution Center promotes peaceful resolution of conflicts. Conflict Resolution Center’s goal is to provide mediation services and education, resulting in: - Increased awareness and use of peaceful conflict resolution techniques and services - Decreased civil court cases - Decreased sense of alienation by citizens - Increased number of qualified, practicing mediators, and - Support for the public school system’s efforts in conflict resolution.
