About

Sisters in Shelter is requesting caring, compassionate women to join our team, offering accompaniment to adult, female victims of human trafficking. Contact us at sistersinshelter@gmail.com or phone: 567-938-6163 to learn how you can help.

Sisters in Shelter safe house volunteers must first complete the provided, trauma-informed, training series and background check.

With the average age of initial victimization being 12-13 years old, Sisters in Shelter is also recruiting adults to serve as presenters in area school systems, raising awareness of human trafficking, explaining "red flags" identifying possible victims, explaining behaviors creating vulnerability, all the while offering the opportunity to make a positive difference in his/her community.
