We are interested in increasing our board membership. We are looking for some dedicated individuals who want to be part of a team who is, quite literally, an "active board." Our board members are volunteers who have a passion for human rights and a drive to end acid violence around the world, working very hard to see ASN through its mission! Do you have a medical background, legal background, or a background in micro-lending? Maybe you have a background in retail or fundraising? Are you passionate about human rights issues?

Mission Statement
We believe that people have the right to live a life free from violence and assault. We believe that the use of corrosive acid as a weapon of violence is wrong and must be stopped through activism, education and the passing of legislation. We believe in the power of one person to make a difference and to inspire another and another, until we are all working together to end acid attacks around the world.
Description
RISE is a grassroots nonprofit organization based in the US. We provide hope and support to acid attack survivors and collaborate with survivor organizations around the world. We strengthen the connection between survivor and activist to effect change.
