About

Northwest Harvest is proud to again be the beneficiary of this year's Seattle Magazine Brunch Run at Magnuson Park, a 5K that ends with brunch bites sampling from some of Seattle's best restaurants.

Volunteers are needed for the Event Support Team, and all volunteers receive a FREE EVENT T-SHIRT and a TICKET TO THE BRUNCH BITES TENT! (Event takes place rain or shine.)

All volunteers must be registered ahead of time, and there are no drop-in volunteer opportunities for this event.

Volunteers needed for the following jobs:

18 or older...

  • EVENT CLEAN-UP
    • Duties: Break down the event - both on the course and in the food area. Take down signs, tents and tables, pick up empty cups and plates, and do general clean-up.
    • Shift 1: 10:30am - 12:30pm
    • Shift 2: 12pm - 2pm
    • Still Needed: 4 volunteers for each shift
    • Age Requirement: 18 or older
    • Location: Inside Hanger 30

All ages...

  • COURSE MONITORING/CHEERING
    • Duties: Point runners in the right direction on the course and cheer them on. Course monitors are spread out throughout the course, working alone, in a pair, or group of three. May require walking up to half mile each way.
    • Shift: 8:30am - 10:30am
    • Still Needed: 4 volunteers
    • Age Requirement: No minimum age (see chaperone requirements below)
    • Location: Outside on the course

All volunteers under 18 must have a parent/guardian volunteer alongside them. A parent/guardian or adult chaperone can only chaperone a maximum of two youth, and each adult chaperone must separately register for the event.

Please note: Northwest Harvest can provide service hours for school or work purposes, but we are unable to provide any court-related service.

Northwest Harvest provides food free of charge to a network of more than 375 food banks, meal programs, and high need schools. Last year, we provided more than 33 million pounds of food throughtout this network.
