Historic Sahuaro Ranch

Do you love Arizona history and enjoy sharing what you know while meeting new people from all over the world? Then this is the Volunteer position for you! Help us share the stories of the families that lived at the Historic Sahuaro Ranch(HSR), a piece of Arizona ranching and agriculture history! The HSR is looking for friendly, outgoing people who love history and talking with people. History guides lead guests through the historic Main House, originally built in 1891, for short 20 to 30 minute tours. A brief training program and mentorship opportunities with other Guides are provided. Training covers historic information of the Ranch and its past owners, as well as interpretation of the Main House and the objects inside it.

Description

Preserving one of the Valley’s oldest and most magnificent ranches, the 17-acre Historic Sahuaro Ranch (HSR) features 13 original buildings, a rose garden, barnyard, and historic orchards.
