- Choose to volunteer as a Waiting Room Ambassador at one of our three locations in Jacksonville: Downtown, Jacksonville South (off of Old St. Augustine Road), and Fleming Island
Provide entertaining, recreational activities for the children in the waiting rooms while they wait to see their doctor
Show children how to make something special of their very own while they wait. We will show you how to teach amazing arts and crafts to delight our patients!
Enjoy story time with our patients, by reading books or hosting progressive stories (each person in the group adds more story details)
Play visual games such as "I Spy with my little eye" with patients

Nemours Children's Clinic in Jacksonville, located on the banks of the St. Johns River, serves children aged birth to 21 of every socio-economic status, race, ethnicity, gender, age, ability and language. Nemours Children's Clinic in Jacksonville serves children in northeast Florida, southeast Georgia and beyond with nearly 60 pediatric services, including pulmonology, oncology, orthopedics, ENT and more. The Clinic has well-established programs for children with cystic fibrosis, asthma, sickle cell, cancer and those who are dependent on ventilators. Nemours partners with Wolfson Children's Hospital, providing pediatric consultation.

- Orientation or Training
- At least 6 month commitment, serving at least 50 hours per year. Adults commit to a 4 hour shift, at least twice a month: 8-Noon or 1-5 pm shifts. Teens commit to at least 2 hours per month.
- Interview; 2 references; complete medical screening: two tuberculosis tests, drug screen, flu shot, all done on site at no cost to you; vaccination record
