Twenty Volunteers needed to help pack food on Saturday, April 22nd from 8am-Noon at Parkway Christian School as part of the Comcast Care Day to help benefit Gleaners Community Food Bank

Volunteers 10 and up are welcomed. Students 10-17 must volunteer with a responsible adult

Gleaners is going to be provided with a grant for having at least 15 volunteers participate, so it's important to come if you sign up to volunteer.

Description

For more than 40 years, Gleaners Community Food Bank has been "feeding hungry people and nourishing our communities." Last year, Gleaners distributed 42 million pounds of emergency food to 499 partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, and Monroe counties.


Of every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 97 cents for food and food programs. One dollar provides three meals for a hungry neighbor.
