Code Platoon, a nonprofit coding bootcamp trains Veterans to become professional software developers in a 14-week, immersive, in-person is looking for a social media manager.
The social media manager will handle all aspects of promoting Code Platoon using social media. The role involves learning about Code Platoon, and writing short articles and creating graphics, to disseminate in our social channels (twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn).
The role also involves socially interacting with other organizations with whom we are affiliated (Operation Code, Soldier for Life, etc.), to share their messages, and have them broadcast ours.

Code Platoon transforms veterans and military spouses into professional software developers through an immersive, hands-on, educational process and paid internship program.
Description
Code Platoon is a 501(c)3 non-profit that helps veterans and military spouses transition into the civilian workforce by providing technical training and career placement. For 15 weeks the students are immersed in learning the full web development stack, including Python (or Ruby), Django (or Rails), JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. No previous programming skills are required. After completing the program the veteran or military spouse will be hirable as a junior full-stack web developer and eligible for an internship.
