9th graders at North High School in Minneapolis will participate in the 1:1 email mentoring program. Mentors from Wells Fargo will email students each week to help students identify their future aspirations, and give examples on how they might act now to reach those goals.

Volunteers are needed to read emails between students and mentors, track emails sent each week, and grade the students’ emails. As a volunteer, you’d be assigned to one class of about 30 students. Each volunteer will spend 2-4 hours per week reading 30 emails from students, 30 emails from mentors, tracking those emails in an online spreadsheet, and using a provided grading rubric to score the students’ emails. This is a virtual opportunity to see what today’s high school students are up to, learn tips and tricks from employees in the business sector, get familiar with a grading rubric, and give back! All you need is a computer with internet access to volunteer!
