Volunteer with The Watershed Project to plant trees for the community!
Planting trees will:
- Clean the air by absorbing and storing pollutant gases
- Provide oxygen
- Cool the streets and the city
- Decrease flooding
- Prevent water pollution
- Increase phsyical activity
- Provide wildlife habitat
- Reduce noise & slow traffic
Free snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please remember to bring a reusable water bottle, if possible, and wear comfortable clothes that might get dirty! We will provide tools and gloves, but bring your own if you would like.
Waiver forms: To participate, each volunteer must have a signed waiver form. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Description
The Watershed Project’s vision is "people committed to a healthy San Francisco Bay watershed." Since 1997, we’ve pursued that vision through initiatives that:
- Restore and preserve our unique, local ecosystems
- Give students, teachers and volunteers the tools to preserve healthy watersheds.
- Bring a watershed perspective to the urban environment.
- Support grassroots watershed organizations.
- Nurture young people who aspire to environmental careers working for positive change in our Bay Area communities
We are located in Richmond, California, on the University of California's Richmond Field Station.
