Live Event

The B.A.D. Obstacle Challenge is a worldwide obstacle course challenge and adventure race with races spread throughout North America. The first race for 2017 is coming to Sam Boyd Stadium on Saturday, May 20th and as the chosen Charitable partner for the event - WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Each of these races consist of a challenging 7k course for the adults, 5k course for the canines and 2k course for the Kids that all boast unconventional, but achievable obstacles and benefit a number of different local charitable organizations - INCLUDING OUR OWN.These obstacles can be taken on by individuals and/or teams competing in either the Elite, Recreation, Zuke’s K9 Companion or Kids Dash divisions.

Both prior to racing as well as after conquering the course, several thousand competitors along with an equal amount of family members, friends, co-workers, schoolmates, etc... will be located within the confines of the Festival Site that features live entertainment, an expo, kids activities, food, beverages, prize giveaways and much more creating an all-inclusive family environment.

A race of this magnitude can only be produced with the help of volunteers so to help us achieve some of our philanthropic goals we would like to request your help in volunteering for the race on Saturday, May 20th, 2017. We have 2 volunteer shifts available:

The MORNING shift is from 6:30 AM - 1:30 PM

The AFTERNOON shift is from 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Anyone volunteering their time will receive a commemorative event t-shirt, snacks / drinks throughout the day as well as either lunch or dinner at the end of the shift.

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to fulfill school requirements, community service hours, wanting to be a part of a community event or looking to meet new people during and experience of a lifetime!

We appreciate you looking into this for us and hope that you will be able to get involved with this upcoming event as it's a great race, for good causes and typically a lot of fun for the volunteers.

If you are able to help out and/or know of anyone else who may be able to, please email Brian Sharenow, Race Director at bsharenow@fmgevents.com ASAP so he can get you more information and get you on the list.

Mission Statement

When a devastating fire destroys a kennel, when medical bills skyrocket and a family’s income is slashed because the breadwinner has cancer, when the cost of saving a dog’s life is more than the owner can bear, or when a father cannot afford the cross-country flight to see his ill daughter in the hospital -- these are just a few of the situations when The B.A.A.R.K. Foundation has jumped in to help.

When a DockDogs competitor, a loved one, or a competitor’s precious competition pet is in need, we are there. Because of your generosity, B.A.A.R.K. can enable people to cope with the difficult challenges that life brings. United under the banner of Basic Assistance And Recovery Kindness, we bring grantees and donors together in a network that promotes the community spirit, compassion and support of the DockDogs family.

The B.A.A.R.K. Foundation is 501(c)3 organization which plays a leading role in making grants that enable and strengthen the DockDogs community when members have fallen on hard times.

Thanks to our donors, The B.A.A.R.K. Foundation can empower members of the DockDogs community when they face a crisis.
