Folklife Volunteers Make It Happen!

Volunteers are an essential part of the Northwest Folklife Festival! Every year, nearly 700 volunteers staff our entrances, information booths, registration and more to make sure we have the most welcoming community arts Festival in the city. Northwest Folklife depends on volunteers to make the Festival happen.

Northwest Folklife creates opportunities for individuals and communities of the Pacific Northwest to celebrate, share and sustain the vitality of folk, ethnic and traditional arts for present and future generations.

Northwest Folklife carries out its mission in a variety of ways, most notably through the annual production of the free Northwest Folklife Festival.

Description

Northwest Folklife is a year-round nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for all people to appreciate, share, and participate in the evolving traditions of the Pacific Northwest. Every year since 1971 we have presented the Northwest Folklife Festival in Seattle Center on Memorial Day Weekend.
