The Friends of the Parks in Fayette County and the LFUCG Division of Parks and Recreation are looking for volunteers to assist with tree planting at Shillito Park. A successful grant application to the Plant for the Plant Grant Program,
sponsored by Kentucky Utilities, resulted in funds to purchase trees. The trees will replace those removed due to the ash borer infestation.
Bring a shovel, trowel, gloves, and water.
We will gather at the Shillito pool parking lot and report to
shelter #1 (immediately south of the pool parking lot) at 9 a.m.
A brief training session will begin at 9:10 a.m.
