Dance/NYC invites you to volunteer at Town Hall: Future of Fiscally Sponsored Artists and Arts Projects!

About: Join Dance/NYC, its project partners working across creative disciplines, and CreateNYC , for a town hall exploring the characteristics, needs, and opportunities of the citywide community of arts workers involved in fiscally-sponsored projects. This future-focused conversation will be grounded in the results of a recently completed survey issued to nearly 3,000 artists, arts workers, and volunteers that work with fiscal sponsors. The outcomes will inform ongoing cultural planning for the City of New York.

The upcoming Town Hall offers two volunteer opportunities: Day-Of and Week-Of .

Day-Of : V olunteers come in for a minimum of four hours and attend the event. Volunteers are typically scheduled in work stations, including production areas such as registration, guest relations, photography, and communications.

Week-Of: Volunteers come in for a total of 9 hours over two separate days. One five-hour shift takes place either the day before or the day after the event and is flexible upon availability. Tasks include: support with administration, production, media editing, and post-production. The second four-hour shift takes place on the day of the event. Tasks include: set-up, registration, guest relations, photography, and communications.

Both disabled and non-disabled people are encouraged to participate and volunteer at this event. All volunteers will receive an orientation and a NEW YORKER FOR DANCE T-SHIRT.
