Volunteer Opportunity: RN Assistant

Cornerstone Montgomery is looking for welcoming, engaging individuals to serve as assistant(s) to our Registered Nurse’s that are managing the clinical healthy eating/wellness program. The ideal candidates would be able to fulfill specific administrative duties including: shredding, e-filing, spreadsheet updates, and database management. Also, the ideal volunteer would have the ability to assist in the bi-weekly healthy cooking classes that take place with clients in some of our supportive living houses (as needed). Volunteers need to be able to pay attention to details, and be able to successfully integrate into the Cornerstone Montgomery office setting. We are asking for an ongoing daily commitment for at least 3 months (90 days).

Skills:

• Ability to communicate to small groups and individuals with comfort/ease
• Ability to maintain a relaxing and patient persona
• Ability to read and follow a recipe (as needed)
• Considerable Patience and Understanding
• Have an interest in healthy cooking/healthy living
• Ability to be organized and methodical in performance of duties
• Ability to work virtually (as needed)
• An interest in healthy living/healthy eating is a plus
• An interest in serving person with mental health disorders is a plus
• Needs to be dependable and reliable
• Needs to be available for a daily schedule (both the volunteer and the site supervisor will agree to)
