Calling All Musicians!
12 people are interested
Are you a musician? Are you looking to volunteer your time and share your talent? If so, we may have an opportunity for you!
Covenant House Alaska is looking to bring some musical talent to the youth we serve. We are looking for individuals who would like to volunteer weekly in our music room teaching. Currently we have access to guitars, ukuleles, and electric keyboards. Music is a passion and oftentimes outlet for many of the youth we serve. As a volunteer you would manage this space and provide lessons to those interested. Days/times can be flexible.
Can't commit weekly? We are also looking for individuals or groups to offer performances on a one time or intermittent basis.
About Covenant House Alaska
755 A Street, Anchorage, AK 99501, US
We who recognize God's providence and fidelity to his people are dedicated to living out his covenant among ourselves and those children we serve, with absolute respect and unconditional love. That commitment calls us to serve suffering children of the street, and to protect and safeguard all children. Just as Christ in his humanity is the visible sign of God's presence among his people, so our efforts together in the covenant community are a visible sign that effects the presence of God, working through the Holy Spirit among ourselves and our kids.
Covenant House Alaska is a life-line from the streets for homeless, runaway and at-risk youth in Anchroage. Our programs include: *A Crisis Center providing immediate care and sanctuary for youth ages 13-20 *A Drop In Center providing outreach and walk-in services to support youth in marginal living situations *A Transitional Living Program helping youth transition from homelessness to independent living *Workforce Development providing youth educational and employment support as well as opportunities to obtain jobs.
We'll work with your schedule.
