At the USO of Pennsylvania and Southern NJ, volunteers play a special and critical role to ensure we fulfill our mission to deliver comfort, care and support to troops and their families who reside in or pass through our service areas. Our volunteer program is built on our USO’s core values of Loyalty, Integrity, Belonging, Excellence, Resilience, Teamwork and Yielding.
Most of our volunteers support our Center Operations at Philadelphia International Airport, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst or Fort Indiantown Gap. We also have some unique opportunities to support operations and development as well as bring expertise to our organization.

Development - researching and writing grants. Brainstorming and executing fundraising opportunities.

The Liberty USO’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of the U.S. Armed Forces personnel and their families. In short, Liberty USO is the bridge between the civilian population and our soldiers. In times of war and peace, the Liberty USO has delivered its special brand of support, comfort, morale and recreational services to service members and their families.
Description
For over seven decades, the United Service Organizations (USO) of Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey, Inc. (Liberty USO) has served the needs of the active duty, National Guard and reserve military personnel and their families throughout Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. Liberty USO is a chartered affiliate of World USO, a 501 C-3 nonprofit, and not a government agency.
We partner with the nine military bases and over twenty National Guard Armories and Reserve Readiness Centers in our region. As of December 31st 2015, Liberty USO had served approximately 157,568 service personnel and their families at our bases and centers in Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. Traffic in our centers and at offsite events indicate we are headed for an additional 5,000 touchpoints in 2016.
Through Liberty USO, you touch the lives of our military by supporting hospitality programs, career transition initiatives and family resiliency services at nine military bases and over twenty National Guard Armories and Reserve Readiness Centers in Pennsylvania and South Jersey.
Wherever and whenever they go, the USO will always be by their side.
