Adam here, the Volunteer Coordinator for the 2019 Sacramento Giant Race (http://www.race-sfgiants.com/sacramento), taking place on Saturday, March 30th at Raley Field, featuring a 5k, 10k, and 10k relay. The race will feature thousands of runners who are stoked on all things Giants and Sacramento, and are supporters of The Giant Race charity partners, which include the Jr. Giants Program, Giants Community Fund, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It's sure to be a rockin good time. The race starts at 8:00am on Saturday, March 30th. We utilize volunteers in three shifts: 1) our Start Line shift from 6:00am-8:30am (checking in runners, helping direct runners to start line) - You can also stay once the race starts and help out at the finish line! 2) our Finish Line shifts (passing out water, food, and shirts to runners) from 7:15am-11:00am, and 3) our Course team (passing out water to runners on the race course, directing runners the right way on the race course and cheering them on!) from 6:30am-10:30am We also have a packet pickup event (where runners receive their racing bib numbers and shirts) the day before on Friday, March 29th at Raley Field. We have two shifts for this: 12:30pm-4:00pm, 4:00pm-7:00pm. All volunteers receive an official Giant Race volunteer shirt, plus high fives for days!
