ORGANIZATION: Friends of Trees

  • 3 people are interested

Join us as we mulch hundreds of native trees and shrubs that were planted this past winter! Our Tree Care events help to ensure the highest level of plant survival through our dry summer months. This event is great for groups and younger volunteers!

Friends of Trees is partnering with the Sandy River Basin Watershed Council and Friends of the Sandy River Delta with support from the US Forest Service, Daimler, the Portland Trail Blazers, PGE's Habitat Fund, Ash Creek Forestry Management, and the Jubitz Foundation to continue native seedling plantings at the Sandy River Delta.

Please arrive around 8:45am to be registered and assigned to a crew. The event will start promptly at 9:00am. We provide breakfast snacks and hot chocolate/coffee, as well as gloves, tools and guidance. Please come dressed for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and get ready to have fun!

Looking to volunteer as a group? RSVPs are kindly requested for groups of more than 5 people - register here: http://friendsoftrees.org/volunteering/group-registration. RSVPs are not required for individuals or groups of 4 or fewer -- you may simply show up!
