Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington DC (RMHC DC) will be hosting the annual Red Shoe 5k, benefiting RMHC DC houses in Northern VA and Washington DC. We’re seeking volunteer photographers who are either hobbyists or professional to tell our story. RMHC DC doesn’t have a paid photographer on staff, so this service is vital to showcasing the event.

Through the lens of a camera and using still images, we’re asking that the photographer capture the love, excitement and comradery among the runners and families. As the largest annual community event hosted by RMHC DC, we’d like to capture the energy to help tell our story for years to come.

Photographer would capture runners on the course, the children and families participating in race-day festivities and the award ceremony. Photographer would be expected to capture approximately 50-60 high resolutions photos (raw or edited) that can be used for disseminating to families, runners, donors, volunteers, board members and future marketing material.

This can be a good opportunity for photographers to diversify their portfolio of work, network and serve a great organization at the same time.
