A distinctive element of the Give Something Back mentoring program is that mentoring begins shortly after the student’s acceptance into our program. Give Back wants our scholars to have the tools they need to be successful in college, before they get to college. Mentors ensure that our scholars receive the support they need from someone they can trust - in addition to parents and teachers - and on whom they can call with a question or concern, and with whom they can celebrate their achievements.
We provide a trained adult mentor to each ninth grade student chosen to receive a Give Back Scholarship. Mentors help our scholars navigate the academic and social challenges of high school, in addition to helping them choose appropriate college prep courses . Scholar/Mentor relationships are designed to last through a scholar’s high school years. Many students and mentors keep in touch through college and beyond!

About Give Something Back
Location:
43 S Main Street, Suite 300, Pennington, NJ 08534, US
Mission Statement
Providing mentors and scholarships to help Pell Grant eligible students go to college and graduate in four years, debt-free.
Description
Working with teachers, school administrators and community organizations, we identify ninth graders who show academic promise but because of their family’s financial resources may not consider college an achievable option.
We then pair selected students with our trained adult mentors who help prepare them academically and socially for the rigors of a four-year university.
Once the students reach their senior year of high school, the foundation assists them with the application process through one of our partner colleges and universities. Selected students receive a college education, at no cost for tuition, fees or room and board. Students continue their relationship with the foundation during their four years of college.
