Position Title: Patient Volunteer
Position Type: Patient Services Personnel
Facility: Various homes and facilities in Clark County
Qualifications:
Volunteer duties include but are not limited to:

• Prior experience or training in a medical setting are helpful
  
• Mature, calm person
• Comfortable with people from all cultures and walks of life
• Able to tolerate emotional people and deal with various behaviors and personalities
• Able to function independently
• Basic computer skills
• Understands necessity of maintaining confidentiality

If your goal is to make a difference in someone's life - we have a great opportunity for you to accomplish that goal. Become an Aviant Hospice volunteer! Volunteers spend time with patients offering companionship and socialization. Volunteers also spend time with the our patients so their family/caregivers can run errands, shop or just spend some relaxing alone time. Some of our patients are alone so volunteers spend time with them doing simple tasks like preparing a simple meal, reading to them or sharing milk and cookies. Patients are grateful to have a volunteer spend some time with them.
Hospice make more meaningful moments possible for our patients, their loved one and caregivers... and volunteers are an essential part of this. Whether it's running errands, helping check items off a bucket list lending an ear op opening their hearts, Aviant Hospice volunteers bring comfort, love and respect when it's needed most.
