We have more than 800 bare root plants that need to be potted up in preparation for our fall 2017 planting events. We're going to need some help! Join us at a potting party at McAuliffe Park this month.
What to bring: Please dress for the weather--we'll be working outside--and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a filled water bottle and snacks to munch on. We'll provide training, gloves, and tools.
Getting there: The park entrance is located in 108th Ave NE, a short distance from the intersection with NE 116th Street. From 108th Ave NE take a right turn into McAuliffe Park. Drive past the buildings to the dead end at the nursery shed and demonstration garden. The nursery is located behind the demonstration garden to the right of the shed.
Youth volunteering: Sorry, no under 18!

Mission Statement
Our Mission is to restore and maintain healthy forested and natural parklands by building a supportive community that works together to protect Kirkland’s valuable natural resources for current and future generations. Achieving this involves training and supporting volunteers in restoration activities.
Description
The Green Kirkland Partnership is an alliance between the City of Kirkland, nonprofit partners, businesses and the community to restore almost 500 acres of natural parkland in the City. The majority of the restoration efforts are accomplished by our dedicated volunteers. These volunteers may join us just one time or volunteer again and again. It takes everyone to restore our natural areas!
