Summary:
Watch, as the Ohio Village will come alive with the heat, smoke, and noise of the Civil War complete with battles, gun and cannon demonstrations and Union and Confederate troops. Event assistance for House Divided Civil War Reenactment Weekend on June 23rd, 24th and 25th.


Responsibilities:
Check-in of Reenactors - Volunteers will sign-in incoming reenactors, make sure they sign waiver forms and give them welcome packets. Position needed for Friday afternoon and evening (2-6pm and 6-10pm), and Saturday morning (8am-12pm).

Crowd Director- Volunteers help with setting up caution tape in preparation for the battle and then stand in strategic spots to watch over spectators and make sure small children do not run under the tape into the battle area. (12-2pm Saturday, 1-3pm Sunday)

Gatehouse- Volunteers will allow reenactors and other volunteers to enter through the gatehouse; and redirect guests to enter through the museum entrance. (Various shifts between 8-5pm Saturday, 12-5pm Sunday)


Skills Required:
No experience necessary. Ability to read and understand basic text. Ability to give location directions.


Work Environment:
Large crowds expected. May have to engage large numbers of people


Physical Demands:
Some walking for Crowd Control volunteers.


Age Requirement:
16+
