ORGANIZATION: Enhabit Health- Hospice

Image_202210181231

Our volunteers are trained, and continually educated on the hospice philosophy. With this opportunity, we hope to gain volunteers who are willing to:

-travel to patients' homes

-trim/cut/comb/curl patients' hair or beard

-give manicures/foot massages for patients

*No cutting of nails is permitted*

Often times Hospice can be a discouraging word, but at Enhabit Hospice we care about the quality of life of our patients. We have several patients who are alert and willing to accept this kind of help. However, they may be unable to leave the house to get a haircut.

We encourage you to get with us for more details about this opportunity!

About Enhabit Health- Hospice

Location:

2900 St. Michael Dr, Ste. 400B, Texarkana, TX 75503, US

Mission Statement

At Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, we believe hospice is not a place, but rather a philosophy of care. Our goal is to bring dignity and comfort home by offering compassionate care to patients and their families during the final stages of life.

Description

Enhabit is looking for volunteers to provide support to patients and their families during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and what types of things you want to do.

A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
