Our volunteers are trained, and continually educated on the hospice philosophy. With this opportunity, we hope to gain volunteers who are willing to:
-travel to patients' homes
-trim/cut/comb/curl patients' hair or beard
-give manicures/foot massages for patients
*No cutting of nails is permitted*
Often times Hospice can be a discouraging word, but at Enhabit Hospice we care about the quality of life of our patients. We have several patients who are alert and willing to accept this kind of help. However, they may be unable to leave the house to get a haircut.

Description
Enhabit is looking for volunteers to provide support to patients and their families during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given the flexibility to make your own schedule and only participate in activities that you are comfortable with.
A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, bring your (eligible) pet to provide comfort to the patient and families, or even creating a photo album or memoir for the patient's family.
