This year marks the 25th Annual Letter Carriers’ Food Drive! For Emergency Food Network, this single day is one of the most important food drives of the year. We receive close to 300,000 pounds of food, enough to stock Pierce County food bank shelves through the summer.

To help make this day a success, our friends at the United States Post Office need our help! Volunteer Driving Teams are needed to help pick food up in the community (teams need a personal vehicle and a group of 2-3 volunteers; maps are provided).

Post office branches throughout Tacoma, Lakewood, and Fife will be posting their volunteer needs soon. We will post additional information as soon as we receive these details.

You can reserve your volunteer position now! Please email Merrit Reed (EFN’s Coordinator of Volunteer Activities) at merrit@efoodnet.org or call (253) 584-1040.
