Wanted: Experienced Sewer or Seamstress

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Albany Public Library

Are you skilled with a sewing needle or on a sewing machine? Do you enjoy teaching others? Are you available at least once a month from 6pm-7:30pm? If you answered yes to these three questions then come down to the Albany Public Library Howe Branch and help out with the Sew! What? program!

Sew! What? meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 6pm-7:30pm, and it offers adults in the community the chance to come work on sewing projects, learn sewing basics, both by hand and on a machine, and improve skills they might already have. The Howe Branch needs two more volunteers to come and teach hand sewing and sewing machine skills. Come be part of a program that is helping to spread knowledge, strenghten community bonds, and create lasting change through art and culture.
